Overview

This position will be the owner of a defined category or categories for the drawing and maintaining of planograms.  You will be working with the retailer’s buying team to build and maintain the most efficient and effective planograms based on the financial goals and data available for all capital projects, merchandise resets, new stores using Apollo Symphony EYC.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for the retailer’s buyers, Space Planners, or Merchandise Vendor Captains for any and all questions associated to their planogram responsibilities.
  • Provide for space planning and section merchandising on the assigned categories.
  • Manage the store clustering process by utilizing store plans, survey data, existing planograms and item lists to ensure all planograms are built according to the applicable space configurations in each store the planogram is assigned to. 
  • Manage the building of all versions of base planograms to ensure each planogram is in compliance with all applicable merchandising standards and the product assortment matches the item assortment list for each store.
  • All product and fixture data used to create planograms must come from the retailer’s most recent version of product and fixture libraries.  Work with the retailer and/or merchandise vendor to get the applicable product data (including displays) for all new items. 
  • Identify any category space optimization opportunities via all available data sources and work with the retailer’s space planning, visual merchandising, and/or buyers to gain support for your proposed changes.
  • Basic analysis of data via all available sources
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Must have a college degree or work experience equivalent and three (3) to five (5) years’ relative experience in a Space Management related position or technology-based solutions.
    Minimum of one (1) year experience in Consumer Package Goods (CPG) industry and Consumer analytics.
  • Must be computer literate with a degree of proficiency in APOLLO SYMPHONY EYC (Space planning), Windows, Excel, and related software applications. 
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to communicate effectively and present a professional image.
  • Must have previous experience in a tier 1 retailer’s planogram development process drawing planograms and working through the entire line review process
  • Must have a certain level of expertise in APOLLO SYMPHONY EYC and retail link.
  • Knowledge of space technology software and understanding of CPG retail functions is required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and strong organizational skills is preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter and be willing to take ownership in your responsibilities and as well as your career path.
