The Retail Analyst primary responsibility of this position is to provide analysis and supporting recommendations for the Retail Analytics team, supporting internal retail-driven initiatives and external client reporting and initiatives.


  • Provide full analytic support to support headquarter sales team
  • Collect data and conduct analysis to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations to optimize promotional events, sales initiatives, new item launch, etc.
  • Track the success/failure of new items and promotional efforts and make recommendations for future improvement
  • Develop, implement and track key product indicators (KPI) to measure business success across a wide range of client products and retailers
  • Create ad-hoc reports designed to help better interpret business results; draw conclusions based on analysis and interpretation of sales data.
  • Review historical sales trends, point-of-sale data, syndicated data, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop models, and evaluate forecast results
  • Create and present business reviews
  • Establish & deliver accurate and timely Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting to the Sales organization
  • Hybrid work schedule


  • Experience working with and utilizing IRI and Nielsen data, Spectra a plus
  • Consumer Packed Goods (CPG) industry experience
  • Strong analytical aptitude
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables)
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Self-starter with demonstrated drive and initiative
  • Excellent verbal, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently
  • PowerBI knowledge is a positive
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics
  • 1-3 years of business and analytics experience
